Eu-activated Ga_2O_3-SnO_2 Multicomponent Oxide Thin-Film Electroluminescent Phosphors

Abstract(in English) Red emitting thin-film EL devices were newly developed using ((Ga_2O_3)_<1-x>-(SnO_2)_x):Eu multi-component oxide phosphors. Although the obtained luminance was affected by the composition, the emission color was relatively independent. The highest luminance was obtained using ((Ga_2O_3)_<0.67>-(SnO_2)_<0.33>):Eu thin films prepared with a SnO_2 content of 33mol.% and a Eu content of 6at.% and postannealed in air at 600℃. A luminance of 162cd/m^2 was obtained in an amorphous ((Ga_2O_3)_<0.67>-(SnO_2)_<0.33>):Eu thin-film EL device driven at 1kHz.
