Abstract(in English) CaS:Tb green emitting transparent thin film electroluminescent (TFEL) have been prepared by electron beam evaporation method. For CaS:Tb powder samples, a sufficient Tb^<3+> solubility has been obtained. On the contrary, for CaS thin films, the Tb^<3+> solubility is lower compared to the powder samples, since photoluminescence due to ^5D_3→^7F_J transition is observed. A luminance, an efficiency and CIE color coordinates of the CaS:Tb,F TFEL devices are 174cd/m^2, 0.1lm/W and (0.24, 0.51), respectively under 1 kHz drive.
