Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Recent progress of ink-jet printers, especially regarding their high resolution, is remarkable. The high resolution can be applied to a 3D display system. Conventional holography and integral photography are typical 3D display systems in which viewers can see 3D objects without wearing special glasses. However, special equipment or parts are required to manufacture the display. By substituting pin-hole array for fly-eye lens of integral photography, it has been made possible to form the pin-hole array at once by an ink-jet printer. The 3D data are rendered by either our original ray-tracing software or POV-Ray.
