Abstract(in English) A prototype camera and display have been built to examine an ultrahigh-definition video system as a future broadcasting services with a high sensation of reality. An experimental system with 4,000 scanning lines has been realized by using four 8M-pixel CCDs for a camera and four 8M-pixel LCDs for a display and applying spatial pixel offset method to both devices.
