Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) To expand the capacity of the satellite communications, it is necessary to use onboard switching and regenerative relay technique. In case of loading a modem and a base band switch on to satellite, however, it is difficult to apply the new communication technology appeared after launching. The lifetime of the communications satellite in recent years on the orbit is from 10 to 20 years, and it is impossible to exchange or upgrade the mission equipment loading the satellite after deploying in the orbit. In this paper, the outline of reconfigurable communication equipment that be loaded in a small experiment satellite "SamartSat-1" is described. The reconfigurable communication equipment is one of the realizations of onboard software radio system, and this is composed of reconfigurable devices. The new function can be added with installing a new configuration that is sent from a ground terminal after launching.
