Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Multi-beam feed systems for next generation mobile satellite communication systems are studied. To realize such system requirements at affordable cost, innovations in satellite on-board technologies will be required. This paper presents novel two techniques, a phased array multi-beam feeder with a beam group concept and a beam forming technique considering traffic fluctuation, to realize requirements. These two techniques can provide sufficient satellite antenna gain and flexible RF power distribution between beams, under limited weight and power.
