Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) A radiation pattern varying technique using short-circuited coaxial structure at a feed point of the antenna is proposed. Short-circuited structure makes it possible to decrease the short-circuited-side antenna gain, and to increase the opposite-side gain. The radiation pattern variance which comes from short-circuited coaxial structure was experimentally observed not only in the transmitting mode but also in the receiving mode. This paper also shows the fabricated and measured results of a radiation pattern variable antenna by using short-circuited position switching of the coaxial feed.
