Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This paper shows some results studied on the characteristics of rain fade duration at frequencies above 10GHz. The experiments have been conducted on 3 links at 15GHz and 2 links at 22GHz for rain attenuation measurement, and at 4 locations for rainfall abservation in Tokyo urban area since 2000. Based on these data obtained for 3 years, both the number and total duration of events, are studied. Study items are the dependence of rainfall duration for rainfall rate, the dependence of rain fade duration for rain attenuation, the distribution function of duration, the estimation method for rain fade duration. The results obtained are as follows, (1)number destribution are approximated with log-normal, (2)the experimental rainfall duration is different form the RAL model prediction[5]. And we developed expressions of rain fade duration for the sites at Tokyo from the analysis of experimental date.
