Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Similar to direct sequence code division multiple access (CS-CDMA), the site-diversity can be applied to multicarrier-CDMA (MC-CDMA) to improve the bit error rate (BER) performance for a user with weak signal power, resulting in the increased link capacity. In this paper, frequency-domain equalization based on minimum mean square error (MMSE) is considered for the downlink site-diversity reception. Important design parameters are the number of base stations involved in the site-diversity operation and the ratio of site-diversity users. Their impacts on the site diversity effect are evaluated by computer simulation.
