Abstract(in English) A composite primary radiator, which is consist of multi-layered annular ring microstrip antennas shorted in the center (SAR-MSA) and a high frequency horn antenna aligned in the center, is considered as a telemetry and tracking antenna used in multi-ferquency band for space development. To develop the composite radiator, basic performances of a SAR-MSA are studied. To achieve a rotationally symmetric beam for the TM_<11>-mode (sum channel) and to reduce the spielover-power of the TM_<21>-mode (error channel), radiation characteristics of SAR-MSA are analyzed by the finite-element method. We show the analyzed results have good agreements with experimental results.
