Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) A Wireless LAN system of a usual cell division method might have the dead area under the influence of obstacles. On the other hand, a wireless LAN system equipped with leaky transmission line on the indoor ceiling, which communicates through multiple slots arranged on the line, does not have the dead area even in the environment with the obstacles. Because the leaky transmission line can be seen from the communication terminal anywhere in the room. Consequently, even when the layout of the obstacles is changed, the system can keep the whole communication area accessible. In this paper, we propose a wireless LAN system using leaky transmission line, and evaluate the radio propagation characteristics in a room by the computer simulation. Finally we investigate the best layout pattern of the leaky transmission line against the obstacles.
