Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In new generation mobile communications, a high-speed wide-band transmission which can realize 100Mbps at the maximum is expected. In order ot realize the high-speed wide-band transmission, it is necessary to improve frequency efficiency. The method that uses both vertical polarization and horizontal polarizations at the same time has been proposed. In this method, cross polarization discrimination (XPD), which is the ratio of vertical polarization power and horizontal polarization power, is important. In this paper, we refer to the measurement results of microwave-band in sub-urban areas, and clarify the characteristics XPD and the correlation coefficient of received levels between cross polarizations.
