Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In this paper, we propose a new control method for ESPAR (Electrically Steerable Passive Array Radiators) antenna with RF-MEMS (Radio Frequency-MicroElectoMecanical System) variable riactors. Operation speed of the RF-MEMS variable riactors is much slower than that of semiconductor variable riactors (varactor diodes), due to its mechanical system. Thus we need to consider it's mechanical speed into it's control method. We solve a multi-dimensional-minimization problem as iterations of a mono-dimensional-minimization ploblem. Furthermore, we propose a smoothing method to prevent wrong weight-control caused by noise and a Multi-Resolution method which changes the step size of the RF-MEMS variable reactance according to the number of iterations. We also proposed a cost function to dimish delayed signals beyond guard time in OFDM (Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing) systems. Our computer simulation results based on IEEE802.11a show that our proposed control method and cost function are effective for interference suppression.
