Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) It has been shown that the antennas having the balanced structure and being fed with a balanced line are very effective to mitigate the antenna performance degradation due to the body effect. As one of these antennas, a folded loop antenna which has a self-balanced and compact structure has been proposed. In this paper, a built-in folded dipole antenna (BFDA) for handset is analyzed. The structure of BFDA is different from that of the folded loop antenna to make it a lower profile. In the analysis, the electromagnetic simulator IE3D based on Method of Moment is used. As a result, it has a self-balanced effect ,the bandwidth (VSWR≦2) of about 13% at center frequency 2900MHz and a lower profile compared with the folded loop antenna. Moreover the current distributions and radiation patterns are analyzed. The calculated results are in good agreement with the measured results.
