Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) World Radio Conference (WRC) of ITU-R has been held about every 3 years to discuss frequency allocation and revision of Radio Regulations. In June and July, WRC-03 was held in Geneva, Switzerland, which addressed a number of issues relating to satellite communications. This paper briefly reports the decisions of WRC-03 on agenda items concerning Mobile Satellite Service and other satellite related subjects along with future outlook of the relevant technical areas. Since agenda items were determined for the next WRC-07, this paper also introduces new agenda items dealing with satellite communications and highlights related ITU-R studies towards the next WRC.
