Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) An imaging reflector antenna for satellite communication system is studied. The phased-array-fed imaging reflector antenna can realize the large aperture by the few antenna elements compared with a direct radiating arrays. In addition, the power amplifiers are efficient compared with a phased-array-fed offset parabolic antenna. However, grating lobes easily occur near the main beam because the interval between antenna elements is equivalently extended. So a spatial filter has been proposed to suppress the grating lobes. The purpose of this paper is to study the calculation methods of the spatial filter and to confirm the effect.
