Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Generally, borehole radar systems are equipped with dipole antennas for a transmitting and receiving antennas. We developed a new borehole radar system, which is equipped with two receiving antennas and has a function of the radar interferometry. The radar interferometry has been successfully applied to synthetic aperture radar (SAR) and is a technique to obtain the topographic information of the ground surface using a phase difference between two received signals. In this paper, we describe the performance of this system and discuss the effects of the antenna mutual coupling and the results of the field experiments.
