Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) The origin of the feature that the vector effective length of a parasitic element of ESPAR (Electronically Steerable Parasitic Array Radiator) antenna is linear to the joined reactance value and that the proportional coefficient is real is investigated by means of admittance between a port joined to a reactor and any point along the element. It is shown that the linear relation is caused by the fact that the current distribution along elements, excited by other element, are almost the same. It is also shown that the real coefficient is caused by the fact that the imaginary part of the current distribution excited by itself is different from the one excited by other element. By this investigation, a vector effective length of a fed element can be expressed precisely by means of a current at the feed point on it. The parameters to express the vector effective length of each element of the wire array antenna can be calculated by the distribution of admittance along the element.
