A Study on Location Measurement Method of a Mobile Station in Wide-band Mobile Communications : Prediction Accuracy of the Direction of Mobile Station

Abstract(in English) In mobile communications, the location measurement methods of mobile station with high accuracy are expected to provide new services. There is one of the location measurement methods, which measures the directions of mobile station from several base stations and predicts the location of mobile station based on measurement directions. In this paper, we propose a method to predict the direction of mobile station, which is based on the angle directions measured by MUSIC algorithms from arrival radio waves. And we clarify the prediction accuracy of proposed method by using time-space path model which is modeled with high accuracy in urban radio propagation environment.
