Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) We report on liquid phase epitaxial growth of high-quality Bi_2Sr_2CaCu_2O_X films suitable for intrinsic Josephson devices. The films displayed a multigrain structure, and the maximum grain size was typically 1 mm in the in-plane directions and 1μm in thickness. By means of focused-ion-beam etching and Ar ion milling, we have fabricated microstacks on a single grain of the film. These stacks exhibited multibranched current-voltage characteristics inherent in Bi-2212 single crystals, indicating sufficient film quality for the intrinsic Josephson junctions. Planar intrinsic junctions were also fabricated from films grown on step-patterned MgO substrates.
