Abstract(in English) | Based on the present situation where a heavy metal, lead, comes to be regarded as a serious pollutant material, piezoelectric ceramics in lithium tantalate family have been investigated as a possible lead-free piezoelectric ceramic. The ceramic material, in particular, where 15% of LiTaO_3 was substituted by CaTiO_3, resulted in highly densified ceramic to make it possible to be poled. The ceramic attached with a pair of arch shaped interdigital transducers were successfully generated and detected Lamb wave. It was also confirmed that an oscillator could be devised by inserting the ceramic in a feedback loop of an amplifier |
