Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) ITO has been now widely used as the anode for organic light-emitting devices(OLEDs). We used various methods of ITO surface treatment and examined the effects of surface treatment by measuring contact angle and calculating surface free energy. We also prepared OLEDs with ITO treated by each method, and estimated their characteristics. If UV-O_3 or O_2-plasma is used for the method of surface treatment, the surface of ITO treated by the above methods was more hydrophilic than that treated by only organic rinse or no treatment. Consequently, the characteristic of OLED was improved.
