Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) It is known that the introduction of low work function metals or their compounds between organic layer and cathode metal enhances electron injection from cathode in organic light-emitting diode(OLED). We studied EL properties of the OLED using cesium bromide(CsBr) for electron injection layer. The OLED showed more large current at a same voltage than the OLED using lithium fluoride(LiF) for electron injection layer. We think electron injection will be improbed for the OLED device using CsBr because Cs has low work function than Li. It was found that the optical thickness of CsBr is 0.6nm for electron injection by the thickness dependence of CsBr layer.
