Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) According to rapidly development of a broadband technology in an information industry, photonic networks are increasing in importance in the future. New optical waveguide devices of combining/splitting and multiplexer/demultiplexer are needed in order to realize photonic networks. Our optical waveguide replication technology realized a cost reduction in polymer optical waveguides using plastic and stamper. We call these devices SPICA (Stacked Polymer optical IC/Advanced) and report the fabrication and some characteristics of SPICA.
