Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) We have proposed an extension of the product model considering backscattering from multiple layers in order to explain polarimetric variation of texture in high-resolution synthetic aperture radar (SAR) images. In this paper, the polarimetric target decomposition theorem is utilized to validate the model. The entropy derived from the target decomposition provides useful signs of scattering randomness. The results of data analyses reveal that there is significant correlation between variation of the K-distribution's order parameters and the entropy value.
