Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In this paper, we show the results of an evaluation of the Aircraft Positioning System using ACAS signals. We first introduce the ACAS experimental system and two time detection techniques (the cross correlation technique and the delay compare and attenuate technique). Then we show the results of measurements using two techniques. The evaluation lead following three conclusions. First, both techniques have capability to satisfy the requirement for airport surveillance systems. Second, the cross correlation technique is venerable to multipaths. In severe multipath area, some counter measurements are needed. Third, the DAC technique is more durable to multipaths than the cross correlation. However, the pulse raising edge should be controlled properly.
