Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) ADS report gives various aircraft navigation data. In the region where the direct observation from earth surface is not available, especially in an oceanic airspace we are able to know aircraft position by using ADS reports. Flight path of aircraft will be a smooth and shortest path connecting way points on earth. That is, a flight path is traced with the sequence of way point data that is expressed by geographic latitude and longitude values which an aircraft passes though fixes on earth. An ADS report contains these navigation data. The optimal estimates of aircraft route and position are obtained by a prediction-correction method. The estimate shows some aspect of air route following qualities, through the discrepancies in reported position and estimation.
