ASAS and Its Technical Issues

Abstract(in English) ASAS, Airborne Separation Assistance System, is an airborne surveillance system under developing with international coordination to be realized for smooth air traffic management and airspace operation in future by providing ait traffic information to flight crews with improving their situational awareness. The requirements for ASAS are under investigation for each ASAS application to resolve pertinent operational issue with various aspects. The technical requirements are also under development as one of them. This paper reports the technical issues of ASAS those are identified by technical interchange meetings in ICAO and other arenas.
