The Study of Optimum Imaging and Transmission System for High Resolution Images

Abstract(in English) The decreasing of input optical power and increasing of data rate are the most important issues in the transmission of high resolution image from satellite. The data compression is indispensable to transmit these enormous image data. It is very important for deciding the allowable limit of data compression considering the quality degradation by data compression. The error correcting code becomes indispensable for the transmission of compressed data for the prevention of the significant bit error effect. The time delay integration method is the useful solution on taking high quality images to overcome the decreasing of input optical power. The paper reports the results of optimized consideration for high resolution image transmission system, and reports the optimum data rate can be increased by combination of data compression and the error correcting code, and also reports the optimized consideration for the integration number of time delay integration and the improving effect.
