Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This paper shows a summary and results of the data transmission experiment conducted during the Japanese 43-rd expedition as one of our MBC experiments in Antarctica. In the experiment, the remote sation at Zhongshan station generates data packets with the interval of 5 minutes and tries to send them to the master station at Syowa station using radio equipment manufactured by Meteor Communications Co. By studying the results, it is confirmed that meteor bursts can be used for beyond line of sight data transmission even in aurora regions. Moreover, we show that stationary but random non-meteoric propagation phenomena frequently occur in those regions and they are helpful for the data transmission.
