Abstract(in English)	This paper report the development items and evaluation result about GPS receiver installed in Whale Ecology Observation Satellite(WEOS). This development is based on the GPS receiver that has been developed for Car Navigation Units. The main development items to ensure GPS receiver possible position fix in WEOS are 1) Extension of search frequency width, 2) Unnecessity of ionospheric and tropospheric delay correction function, 3) Change of satellite selection function. We introduce that the possibility has been confirmed for GPS receiver installed in WEOS to fix position by the development items described above.
