Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In a search radar, clutter is not sometimes suppressed sufficiently using AMTI (adaptive moving target indicators) based on the theory of the adaptive filter because there are a few transmitted pulses. To overcome this problem, a clutter suppression filter has been proposed with the notch frequency equal to the center frequency of the clutter estimated by a maximum entropy method. In this report, we propose a method for adaptively suppressing the clutter distributed in range using the combination of such clutter suppression filters with the improved decision algorithm whether the clutter is unimodal or bimodal.
