Abstract(in Japanese) | (See Japanese page) |
Abstract(in English) | Recently, lossless image coding is needed in the medical treatment and the broadcasting service etc. As for this lossless compression method, DPCM(Differential Pulse Code Modulation), that is a kind of predictive coding, is widely used. Moreover, it has been known that a lossless subband coding obtains higher compressibility. However, it is necessary to do the multiresolution analysis in this subband coding to compress the low frequency component easily. In this paper, The problem is solved by using the linear predictor to transform the low frequency component to be compressed more easily. |
