A study on realization of the plug and play in a B-PON system

Abstract(in English) In a PON(Passive Optical Network) system, the OLT (Optical Line Termination) need to know the relation between the serial number of the ONU and the service level agreement when the ONU is newly connected to the network. Therefore, the operation in the central office and setting up ONU need to be synchronized. The plug and play will realize automatic installation of ONU, by getting the relationship between the serial number of the ONU and the service level agreement automatically. To realize the opened network of PON system, the plug and play is required. This paper proposes the scheme of plug and play in a B-PON system.
