Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Recently, ALM (Application Level multicast) which works at application layer is proposed to resolve drawbacks of IP multicast. However, because ALM uses hosts which have lower reliability than router, multicast tree tears frequently. Therefore, ALM has a drawback that pictures often freezes while streaming delivered. In this paper, we propose streaming delivery network with multi-tree to resolve the above drawbacks. The proposed network splits a streaming pictures to multiple sub streaming pictures, then it constructs multicast trees for each of them. If some tree tears, pictures can be played by using data from other multicast trees. In addition, the proposed network keeps a lid on delay which is a drawback in ALM.
