Proposal of Detecting DoS Attacks Based on Traffic Analysis Using AR Model

Abstract(in English) In recent years, the service stop attack to the large-scale business site and root name server by a DoS (Denial of Service) attack or the distributed DoS attack poses a problem. Then, the measure technology of specifying an attacker is important. However, generally, since the information on an attacking source address is forged, the pursuit which searches for a course is required for a DoS attack. In this paper, the method of detecting an attack from the difference between a prediction value and an actual measurement is proposed. And the duration time of one attack assumes that it is fixed in every observing point, and shows a possibility that it can pursue using attack duration time information.
