Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) The pure peer-to-peer (P2P) technology enables to discover and deliver contents from a discovered peer directly to a requestor without servers. To discover specific contents without servers, query messages should be forwarded among peers and propagated to all the peers which have contents or some information. This action is called "the application multicast". The first pure P2P system adopts message flooding mechanism which inheres in a great impact on network traffics. For the purpose of improving effectiveness, some solutions have been proposed. In this paper, we review P2P protocols for transmitting the query messages, in contrast with the IP multicast protocols.
