Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In this paper, we describe the design and implementation of a one chip camera device which integrates wireless transmission function and peripheral circuits required for a camera. This experimental chip integrates an image array, a clock generator, a voltage regulator, an A/D converter, and a BPSK modulator in a single silicon chip. The chip operates with a single 2V dc power supply and has a single modulated digital output. A prototype chip which has 320x240 effective pixels was fabricated using 0.25μmCMOS image sensor process, and the basic operation was confirmed. With power supply voltage of 2V, the analog part consumes less than 1mW, and the total power consumption with the career frequency of 20MHz and frame rate 6 frame/s is about 3mW.
