Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) We have investigated a excellent method to extend the dynamic range of a CMOS image sensor. The system has two marked features. First, the system effectively takes advantage of negative feedback method to set any mid-voltage into a PD- or FD-capacitance a pixel circuit while in motion. Second, we implemented quasi-holding each pixel value by resetting the pixel-output voltage to the PD- or FD-capacitance. We offer an extending dynamic-range of a CMOS image sensor with a help of an individual selecting the setting mid-voltage or the quasi holding for the each pixel. The output data has a characteristic of a polygonal line that is changing from high sensitivity to low sensitivity in brightness getting stronger, and can be output without modification. We can drastically reduce external memory as flags that are need for our previous method.
