Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This paper proposes a new desgin method for composing the local-timing signal generator circuits used for locally-timed asynchronous circuits. The method reduces request-acknowledgment overheads by permitting read and write requests separately to be withdrawn. The control circuits are designed so as to prevent the datapath from rewriting and rereading data, which results in reducing restrictions in designing delay generator circuits. The above features of the method enable to constitute the local-timing signal generator circuits requiring smaller area and consuming less power.
