Abstract(in English) 8-way VLIW microprocessor based on improved VLIW architecture is developed for embedded application. This processor equips execution units of floating-point calculation, performed 2.1GFLOPS, and media operations, performed 12.8GOPS. In order to fulfill these performances, our microprocessor is fabricated with 0.11 μm CMOS process technology. We use late clock technique, and design a part of our microprocessor by the custom design.
