Development of Embedded Passive Circuits using LTCC

Abstract(in English) A simple and accurate parameter extraction method of the transmission line is applied to the microwave planar circuit desigin with low temperature co-fired ceramics (LTCC). The electrical constants, such as the dielectric constant and loss tangent, are estimated by insertion loss measurements of the coplanar wave guides. By using these constants, Method of Moments and Finite Element Method electromagnetic simulations are performed on the other types of microwave planar circuits. The simulation results show good agreements with the S-parameter measurements. The entire procedure can be applied to the different types of microwave planar circuit designs.
