Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) The BS digital TV broadcasting service has begun since December 2000 in Japan. Now, TV broadcasting is getting digital. The terrestrial TV broadcasting will also be digitalized from December 2003. OFDM (Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing) is a digital modulation method the terrestrial TV broadcasting shall be used for the terrestrial TV broadcasting. because OFDM has efficient frequency band utilization, robust nerformance in multi-path channel, and capability of high bandwidth communication. In addition, the terrestrial digital TV broadcasting can be received in fast-moving mobile receiver. In fast moving multi-path channel, the performance of OFDM receiver will be affected by the RF frequency error caused by Doppler frequency shift between direct and delay signals. This paper proposes the RF frequency error removal method using Array Antenna and reports the result of computer simulation, which shows that the performance of OFDM receiver is improved by the proposed systems.
