| 抄録(和) | 素子サイズが数十ナノメートルの時代になり,回路遅延における配線遅延の割合がますます支配的になると共に,製造後の回路パラメータのばらつきがチップ間だけでなくチップ内でも増大している.そのため,ばらつきを考慮した設計を行う必要が生じており,回路遅延のばらつき解析手法が必要となっている.そのような解析においては,ばらつき量の相関を考慮した配線遅延のばらつきを求める手法が必要である.本文では,1ネットの配線木が与えられたとき,各ファンアウトへのElmore遅延のばらつきとそれらの間の相関係数を導出する効率的な手法を提案する.この手法は,Elmore遅延という誤差の大きな見積りを用い,各回路パラメータのばらつきを正規分布と仮定しているが,これらにより,効率的で,かつ各パラメータ間の相関を容易に扱えるようになる.最後に,SPICEによるモンテカルロ・シミュレーションとの比較を示し,提案手法の妥当性について検討する. |
| 抄録(英) | Since the variability and uncertainty of circuit parameters increase in deep sub-micron era, a new design methodology taking process variability into consideration is desired, and the statistical timing analysis finding the distribution of the maximum delay has been studied recently. In such statistical approaches, the correlations between random variables are important to increase the accuracy of the results. Therefore, in this paper, we propose an efficient algorithm to calculate correlation coefficients between interconnect delays to distinct sinks in a net, since the interconnect delay cannot be neglected in the current technology. We used Elmore delay and Gaussian distribution in the proposed algorithm so that we can treat any correlation easily and make the algorithm efficient. In order to see the performance of the proposed algorithm, we also show some experimental results compared with Monte-Carlo simulation using SPICE. |
