| 抄録(和) | 第二言語の音韻知覚と意味処理の関係を明らかにするため,日本語話者を対象に,英語の/r/と/l/で対立する文字単語の翻訳・訓練課題や音声単語の知覚同定訓練課題を用いた3つの実験を行った.実験1の結果から,単語内の音韻知覚の困難度が単語間の意味の混同と密接に関わっていることが示された.一方,実験2および3の結果から,音韻で対立する単語対を用いた,選択式の短期集中型翻訳訓練においては,音韻知覚の困難度は意味の学習や保持の効率に影響せず,知覚困難な単語対でも知覚容易な単語対と同程度の訓練効果が得られることが明らかとなった.これらの結果は,現実場面における長期にわたる第二言語の語彙学習過程では正しい音韻情報の獲得が重要である一方,実験室における集中訓練では音韻知覚の難しさに関係なく語彙学習が達成されていくという,語彙学習の特徴の二面性を示唆するものである. |
| 抄録(英) | This study examined the link between phoneme perception and lexical processing in a second language (L2) through three experiments on testing and training of visual word translation and training of auditory phoneme perception. Results showed that perceptual difficulty of phonemes within words was closely related to lexical confusion in translation. In contrast, the perceptual difficulty did not always influence the translation performance during short-term intensive training. These results suggest that the link between phoneme perception and lexical processing in L2 is stronger in longitudinal vocabulary acquisition than in vocabulary learning through short-term intensive training. From a pedagogical standpoint, these results imply that it is important to acquire how to perceive/produce L2 phonemes correctly for effective L2 vocabulary acquisition. |
