| 抄録(和) | 音は,時間軸上で現れては消えていく事象である.このような事象群を,一連のリズムとして知覚するためには,時間軸上に等間隔の長さを持つ仮想的な格子を形成し,その格子を基準に複数の音事象を知覚的に一つの流れとして体制化する必要がある.では,このような等間隔の仮想的な格子は,どのようにして形成されるのであろうか?本研究では,物理的な長さの近い二つの時間間隔を隣接させて呈示した場合に,それぞれの時間間隔の主観的な長さに双方向の同化が生じることを実験によって確かめた.実験では,実験参加者に二つの隣接する時間間隔を呈示し,調整法を用いて,それぞれの時間間隔の主観的等価値を測定した.その結果,二つの時間間隔の物理的な長さの差が小さい場合に,それぞれの時間間隔に対して,有意な過小評価や過大評価が生じており,二つの時間間隔の主観的な長さが近づくことが分かった.これまでの研究では,時間間隔の後ろに別の時間間隔を付加しても,先行する時間間隔の主観的な長さは変化しないと考えられていた.しかし,本論文の結果では,先行する時間間隔にも有意な過大評価や過小評価が生じており,時間間隔の長さに双方向の同化が生じていることを示すことができた.また,全体の時間間隔が長い条件では,二つの時間間隔の物理的な長さの差が大きくなったときに,同化から対比へと知覚が変化する傾向がみられた. |
| 抄録(英) | Rhythm is perceived based on the grids of equal intervals. It is thought that when listeners perceive two neighboring empty time intervals, they judge whether these intervals are equal or not. When the difference between these intervals is small, the length of each time interval is corrected to the same length by assimilation, and the corrected length is adopted as a provisional grid. In the present study, we examined whether bilateral assimilation appeared in time perception. In Experiment, we measured the points of subjective equality (PSEs) of two neighboring empty time intervals, t_1 and t_2, respectively, utilizing the method of adjustment. We found that PSEs of the duration of t_1 and t_2 were underestimated and overestimated significantly and approached each other when the difference between t_1 and t_2 was small. That is, bilateral assimilation took place. In addition, when the difference between t_1 and t_2 was wider, the PSEs of t_1 and t_2 separated from each other. This results suggest that not only assimilation but also contrast can take place in neighboring empty time intervals. |
