| Abstract(in English) | We are developing a new remote monitoring system that supports home care in the near feature. In order to evaluate a body condition by measuring the blood pressure and electrocardiogram during daily life, a remote data handling system without any time restriction between a doctor and a subject will be required. The remote system consists of a doctor's PC, a subject's PC, and another PC as a communication server. A doctor usually accesses the communication server, but if it needs a doctor can access each subject's PC directly at any time to retrieve the original data stored by a subject. However, an IP address is needed to access a subject's PC from a doctor's PC using the TCP/IP protocol. We thus developed a remote access system including a temporary server software using a Java applet. The temporary server is a tiny and can be removed after accessing from a doctor. As a result, only one thing a subject has to do is turning on the PC, measuring the data, and sating them accessing to the instruction displayed on the screen. A subject's PC can change its function between a client and a server. |
