Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) The purpose of this study is to develop a system for measurement of both discharge time and conduction velocity of motor units (MUs) from the 8-channel surface electromyograhic (sEMG) signals. Firstly, MU discharge time were identified from the vertically arraved 8-channel sEMG signals to muscle fibers. To detect MUAP waveforms more easily we apply ICA to their sEMG signals. In the next, conduction velocity of single MUs were measured from mean MUAP waveforms of the parallel arrayed 8-channel sEMG signals derived by triggering at identified MU discharge time. From our results, it is indicated that both MU discharge time and conduction velocitiy can be measured by using our developed system.
