Abstract(in Japanese) | (See Japanese page) |
Abstract(in English) | The visual defect consists of blind vision which has no visual acuity and low vision (LV) which has residual visual acuity and provides a significart share of visual defect. LV has significant possibility to improvement of the quality of life (QOL) by using appropriate visual aids. The central scotoma included with LV has impenetrable difficulty with reading and writing because of the impossibility for using central vision. The patient who has binocular central scotoma may be able to read and write test by the skill acquision of the eccentric fixation (a visbility in the eccentric visual field). The conventional medical test of the vision using fixation point has the risk of dispeace of the right fixatoin, on the other hand, the visual test using the reading markers has difficulty to detemine the area used for reading. We have developed a reading marker exhibition system combined with the eye movement measuring device. This system can control the reading marker adapted for the eye movement. Our puropose of this study is to establish more effective method for evaluation of the vision by using the system compared with conventional methods. From the reports developed by the subjects, we confimed the motion accuracy of this system falls in reasonable bounds. There was the certain reading training effect in 3 subject include LV of the eooentric vision And also, there was effectiveness of awareness of condition of LV's self vision |
