Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) For the functional control of immune cells by ELF electrostimulation, the effect of the electrostimulation on the reactive oxygen generation in a macrophage was studied in vitro. The capacitively coupled electric current (50Hz, 35μA/cm^2) was applied with two kinds of stimulants. In the stimulation with zymosan, the amount of intracellular peroxide was ecreased by the electrostimulation with a statistical significance. In the stimulation with PMA, the H_20_2 generation tended to be decreased by the electrostimulation. Though the effects may depend on different mechanisms, these results have suggested the possibility of the suppression of reactive oxygen generation by ELF electrostimulation.
